There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish—especially when we support each other.

About Us 🐝

  • Bridget - The Giver

First and foremost, Bridget is a loving momma to Edie the Extraordinary (5.5) and wife to Kyle. She is a daughter, sister, and friend to so many.

In 2024, Bridget was shocked to be diagnosed with Stage 3 HR+ Breast Cancer. She battled for her life through fertility preservation, 8 rounds of grueling AC-T chemotherapy, a double-mastectomy with lymph node removal, 33 rounds of radiation, and hormonal treatments to induce menopause. Today, she is *THRIVING* as a cancer survivor!

Anyone who knows her would tell you that she is also a giver - a  giver of her time, her skills, but especially her love. Bridget has dedicated her life to helping others, including being a foster mom to 13 children, working tirelessly as a teacher & then a high school principal in some of the most challenging urban school districts in NYC and NJ. Today, she runs a district special education department for thousands of children and families. She has become a vocal advocate, building awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation after her daughter underwent a life-saving liver transplant through the generosity of a living donor. Bridget & her family annually raise money for the Gift of Life Howie’s House in Philadelphia, PA, where families can stay near transplant hospitals while their loved ones receive care.

Bridget’s favorite role in life is being a mom and she has always dreamed of giving Edie a sibling. When diagnosed with breast cancer, one of the first questions out of her mouth was when she would be able to get pregnant after treatment. The heartbreaking reality is that the aggressive nature of her cancer and subsequent treatment have made that impossible. That is why Bridget, Kyle, & Edie are now making The Greatest Ask of one very special woman to help her in sisterhood and solidarity.

  • Kyle - The Helper

Kyle (aka Yaya) is the superhero of the O’Neill-Rosado crew. He came into Bridget & Edie’s life in 2022 and has made it his mission to make every moment of their life joyful since he walked through the door.

Kyle is a devoted husband, step-father, son, brother, and everyone’s favorite life-of-the-party. Most people would tell you that Bridget’s family and friends joke that they never thought they could meet someone “louder and more outgoing” than Bridget, but then she brought along Kyle.

Anyone who has gotten to know Kyle will tell you that he is a helper. Kyle travels everywhere with his tools, an emergency First Aid kit, and the biggest heart you have ever seen. He works professionally as a lineman and is everyone’s favorite handyman on the side. You need help moving next weekend? Kyle is showing up with his trailer and ratchet straps. Buy a used car for your teenager? Kyle will tell you to come over to put it on his lift so he can check it out and make sure it is a safe pick. Mother-in-law slice her finger on a mandolin? Let him just run out to the car to grab his wound pack and bandages. Need help assembling that massive playset you bought for the backyard? He will have it up in the next few hours - just give him an ice cold Coors Banquet.

Kyle feels blessed to be a bonus dad to Edie and it has been the highlight of his life. He will tell you that he never feels sad about the complexities that he faces while growing a family with Bridget. He believes in the generosity of others, and he has nothing but hope and excitement for what is to come.

  • Edie - The Survivor

We all know that Edie is the real star of the show…

Edie truly is Extraordinary and has taught us so much about life, love, and resilience during her 5.5 years on Earth.

Edie received a life-saving liver transplant at 3 months old from Bridget’s first cousin, who bravely volunteered to be her living donor. Edie came back from being critically ill as an infant to thriving today as a pre-schooler.

Edie’s baby years were filled with doctor appointments, lab work, feeding therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy sessions, and we believe that this is what has led to her LOVE of people. Edie is a social butterfly who lights up every room and has so much love to give.

For the last two years, Edie has put a “baby brother or sister” at the very top of her Christmas list. She is a little girl who is blessed to be surrounded by the beauty of rich sibling relationships that both Bridget and Kyle share with their own brothers and sister. Our dream is to give Edie this same gift through the generosity of what she has lovingly come to call our “angel baby’s tummy mommy.”

We think she’s got the right idea…
